Some New Orleans Saints fans can cut out a worry they've considered during this offseason. Their favorite team won't be adding one of the most polarizing veteran players in the entire NFL during free agency.
During a recent concert appearance, Rodgers revealed his opinion on playing for the Saints. He doesn't want to live in Louisiana at his age, so he has ruled out joining New Orleans' offense this offseason.
Fan: “Would you ever play for the Saints?”

Rodgers: “No… I’ve played there a couple times, but no. I’m too old, I don’t want to live in Louisiana.”

There's still a strong contingency around the NFL that feel like the Pittsburgh Steelers will land Rodgers, but that remains to be seen. The former MVP is taking his time, and some other teams have moved on after checking in on him early in the offseason.
Now, we've got an answer on a potential landing in New Orleans for the former New York Jets and Green Bay Packers quarterback. It came from the direct source himself, too.
For the Saints, I never understood any report that Kellen Moore's team may pursue Rodgers. At 41 years old, there is a possibility that Rodgers has just one or two seasons remaining in his pro career.
For New Orleans, they've hit a small reset with their roster and coaching staff. Moore is a young coach getting his first opportunity as an NFL HC. It's hard to see him marrying himself to an aging QB with a strong personality.
Not to mention, the Saints just drafted rookie QB Tyler Shough early in round two of the 2025 NFL Draft. Spencer Rattler also remains a potential option to start this season for them as well.
No matter what - the Saints may or may not have had some interest in adding Rodgers to the fold at some point since Derek Carr retired. It won't be a reality, though.
