The 2025 NFL season is creeping up, and the Philadelphia Eagles are still having a tough time figuring out who will start at outside cornerback opposite Quiynon Mitchell.
"Not yet," defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said on whether he's getting closer to an answer at CB2. "I think all the guys are pretty even right now. Jakorian just got here, got a full week last week, need to give him a full opportunity with the other guys."
While Fangio told reporters he isn't disappointed that the Eagles haven't found Darius Slay's replacement after their second preseason game, he did not hesitate to call out the guys on the roster who are currently battling for the job.
"Usually, it becomes pretty obvious to everybody as to who's gonna win the job," Fangio said. "That hadn't happened yet. I think they have all done a good job in their own way. [They] had good moments, not so good moments. So, we haven't reached that conclusion yet."

The Eagles have been giving first-team reps to Kelee Ringo, Adoree' Jackson, and Jakorian Bennett.
Second-year defensive back Cooper DeJean is supposed to join them in taking reps at outside cornerback this week. DeJean, who dominated while playing slot corner last fall, has also taken safety reps.
This isn't anything new for DeJean, who lined up everywhere last training camp. However, it is the first time this offseason that he will be getting looks on the outside.
The Eagles definitely are not equipped to move DeJean away from nickel, but it will be interesting to see if the former Iowa star can light a fire at the cornerback competition as the team prepares for their final preseason game against the New York Jets.
