Video of Lamar Jackson limping at practice goes viral
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson Scott Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

Lamar Jackson has missed the Baltimore Ravens’ last two outings with a right ankle sprain. The injury occurred in Week 14 during a showdown against the Cleveland Browns.

Ahead of Baltimore’s game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, many have wondered whether Jackson would be able to come back in time for what is essentially a must-win affair.

On Wednesday, Jackson finally returned to practice. He moved sparingly throughout the entire session and seemingly did so with a limp.

This troubling video from that practice session largely speaks for itself:

Baltimore badly needs Jackson to return. The team is 37-12 with him as a starter and has made the playoffs each year. Unfortunately, after four straight losses, that streak looks to be in jeopardy.

Even though Jackson was in the midst of arguably the worst slump of his career before missing the last two outings, the Ravens are still considerably better with him than without him.

Jackson is a core piece of Baltimore culture. When he is out, football in the city is much less fun.

Will he ultimately be able to take the field in time for Sunday’s game against the Ravens? Time will tell.
