Vikings 2025 NFL Mock Draft roundup 2.0 highlighted by five new players, including Texas standout
Jerome Miron-Imagn Images

The NFL Draft is just three and a half months away and the Minnesota Vikings are set to play in a playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.

While the team is set to potentially extend their season, the front office has already begun to look at the NFL Draft and free agency classes.

This is the second week that we have been tracking mock drafts for the Vikings and they have already been sent 14 different players across 36 mock drafts.

  • 6 CB: 19 selections
  • 3 DT: 10 selections
  • 2 RB: 4 selections
  • 2 OL: 2 selections
  • 1 EDGE: 1 selection

This week saw five new players mocked the Vikings with some interesting prospects being sent to the Vikings.

Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

If you want a cornerback who will live or die in man coverage, go turn on Azareye’h Thomas tape. He’s got the intangibles, size (6’2) and speed to live on an island in press or in man coverage. The Vikings can’t keep getting away with Stephon Gilmore at cornerback, and a shot of youth in the secondary could help them get over the hump.-Acosta

Darien Porter Jr., CB, Iowa State

Will Minnesota get to enjoy another season of defensive coordinator Brian Flores? After a stint in Miami as the Dolphins' head coach, Flores looks plenty ready for another shot, and his name is attached to a number of the vacancies (known or expected) across the league. Whether the Vikings have him back or not, Minnesota's cornerback room could use more talent to develop to play on the back end of the aggressive Minnesota scheme.

Darien Porter has elite length and speed — with loads of developmental upside as a former wide receiver. He's a perimeter cornerback with very good ball skills and, in a pressure scheme, could use his eyes and length to contest throwing windows while having a greater margin of error to play in phase.-Crabbs

Tate Ratledge, OG, Georgia

"Minnesota will have a hole at right guard this offseason, and Ratledge is a three-year starter in the SEC at the same position with incredible anchor and grip strength as his superpowers," Brandon Thorn said. "With the ability to contribute to a firm pocket in pass protection and uproot defenders in the run game, Ratledge has the film and traits to be under consideration as the class' top guard.

Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Brian Flores loves players who are versatile and that is exactly what Barron brings to the table. With needs at both cornerback and safety, adding the Jim Thorpe award winner is a smart move. - Forness

Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

The Vikings could lose a good chunk of their cornerback room to free agency this March. Amos brings ideal length and long arms to the position at 6-foot and 190 pounds. He forced 14 incompletions this season, tied for the seventh most in the FBS.-Sikkema

Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

The Vikings could use reinforcements at defensive tackle, and Nolen would provide an interior push for Brian Flores' defense. Nolen played up to his immense potential at Ole Miss after two underwhelming seasons at Texas A&M, finishing with a career-high 6.5 sacks. He was one of the most impressive prospects I saw this fall, as he consistently penetrated the first level with his explosiveness and heavy hands. Don't be surprised if he continues to rise in the pre-draft process.-Reid

Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina

Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

The Vikings add some beef to their interior defensive line, grabbing a 6-foot-3, 339-pound block eater in Grant. The Wolverines stalwart is a force against the run but also very nimble for his size, showing the ability to shoot through gaps and disrupt the pocket as a pass rusher, too.-Kelly

Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

Although starting cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and Shaquil Griffin have excelled, the fountain of youth remains a myth. Therefore, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah will likely need to address the cornerback position in April.

Morrison, a 6’4″, 190-pound lockdown cornerback from Notre Dame, would be a blue-chip prospect had he not suffered a season-ending hip injury against Stanford earlier this fall. Still, he’s a highly refined player with sharp technique, smooth hips and feet, and great eye discipline and instincts. Morrison excels in man coverage and plays with a finishers’ mentality.

Barring any medical setbacks, he’s an immediate plug-and-play prospect. Landing a player with his skill set at this point in the draft is elite value, even if you have to be patient through his recovery.-Decker

Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State

One of the few things that the Vikings defense is missing right now is a true butt-kicker on the interior. Ohio State’s Tyleik Williams is the all-around player they need to take this defense to the next level and stabilize some of their issues.-Tice and McDonald

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Aaron Jones on a one-year deal at age 30 has been a home run for the Vikings, but adding Jeanty to this offense next year would be flat-out ridiculous. He has some of the best balance and vision I’ve evaluated at the position and would be a day one star in Minnesota.-Rogers

Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas

Landon Jackson is not an explosive pass rusher but he has great play strength and balance through contact. His length is challenging for opponents as he is able to make first contact and dictate action at the point of attack.-Edwards

Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State

Jackson has really flashed this season not only at his left guard position where he spent two and a half years, but also the past few games after being forced to kick out to left tackle. He's shut down talented edge-rushers from Oregon and Texas the past two weeks and been a big key to the Buckeyes playoff run.-Renner
