Time for Monday Night Football.
It's a cold late-November night in Minneapolis, so it's fortunate for everyone involved that the Vikings play in an indoor stadium. They'll be honoring those who used to play in the cold tonight, wearing their "Vikings Classic" throwback uniforms for the second time ever as they host the Bears in an NFC North showdown.
Both teams are looking to bounce back from close losses. The Vikings' five-game winning streak came to an end last Sunday night in Denver, while the Bears blew a late two-score lead in Detroit in Justin Fields' first game back from injury.
There's a lot on the line for the home team tonight. They can give their playoff odds a big boost into the 70/75 percent range with a victory, while a loss would drop them closer to a 50/50 chance of reaching the postseason (even though they'd still be in the 7th spot for the time being). The Vikings also really need a win if they want to stay alive at all in their pursuit of the division-leading Lions, who lost to the Packers on Thanksgiving.
Offensively, Josh Dobbs and company will look to remain explosive while taking care of the football much better than they did against the Broncos. On defense, Brian Flores' group will try to get after Fields and force him into some mistakes. That starts up front with Danielle Hunter and D.J. Wonnum wreaking havoc from the edge.
