Vikings Facing Trade Decision After Kyler Murray News

Minnesota has ruled Murray out for Monday’s game against the Bills, and he is considered week-to-week with a Grade 2 hamstring strain. Veteran Carson Wentz is slated to start in his place while he is sidelined.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Murray could miss games beyond Week 9. Pelissero also reported that he “received several medical opinions on the hamstring after last Sunday’s loss at Detroit, and the risk of making the injury worse or having Murray alter his style by trying to play this week weren’t worth it.”

Murray’s uncertain timeline and his inconsistent play could lead Minnesota to add to its quarterback room ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline.

James Palmer appeared on the NFL on Prime’s postgame show on Thursday, saying, “The idea of adding to that quarterback room or making a change is on the table for the Minnesota Vikings.”

Palmer did not specify whether the Vikings have been linked to any quarterback in particular, and there is no indication that the team is close to finalizing a deal.

For now, Minnesota can move forward with Wentz, but Monday’s game could determine whether the Vikings decide to make another move before the deadline.
