Wednesday afternoon brought the final Minnesota Vikings injury report, and it didn't deliver good news.
After being off of it on both Monday and Tuesday, left tackle Christian Darrisaw made an appearance on the injury report with a questionable distinction after being declared a "did not participate" on Wednesday. It was the first time that Darrisaw had been on the injury report for his knee since his return in Week 3. He's made multiple appearances due to the scheduled rest he's been getting due to said knee that he tore his ACL and MCL on at SoFi Stadium last season.
It was a surprise to see Darrisaw added to the injury report, and having that appear sent a wave of panic to the fanbase. ESPN's Kevin Seifert provided proper context of what's actually going on.
What I’ve gleaned from a few sources: Darrisaw needed some treatment this week on the knee after playing 69 snaps vs Eagles. (He actually said as much in the locker room Tuesday.) No huge concerns, but also no guarantee he can make the quick turn on the short week. TBD. https://t.co/BXZ9k0QnVC

It essentially boils down to maintenance on the knee. It's not crazy that Darrisaw could miss this game due to some excess swelling in the knee, which is what likely happened here. It wouldn't be the biggest deal to see Darrisaw miss the game because it's on a short week and it's about the rest of the season, not just a one game sample size.
If he doesn't play, it will likely be Justin Skule that gets the nod. He has started games at both left and right tackle. It should be Blake Brandel, but the Vikings haven't been too willing to kick him back outside after moving him inside to guard last season.
Thursday afternoon will tell us more about what Darrisaw's status will be, and it could be crucial in deciding who wins the game.
