Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson got into a fistfight with a poker player at a social club in Houston, Texas, according to TMZ Sports. The incident happened on May 27 at JokerStars, and Peterson said he and one of his friends were involved in a disagreement while at the table. He then said, “One thing led to another,” and began to fight.

TMZ Sports obtained the video that showed Peterson taking a series of punches. But as the fight continued, the former Minnesota Vikings running back appeared to land several big punches on his friend.

Peterson and the poker player had bloody wounds on their faces, according to TMZ Sports. But the former NFL MVP told the outlet he suffered his injury after he fell into a chair – not from a punch.

“Me and the guy, we’re cool,” Peterson said. “We’ve known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows – and that was it.”

Peterson also said that he and the poker player made up after the fight. “I felt really bad,” Peterson said. “It’s a situation where I kind of regret it.” TMZ Sports said that police were not called and JokerStars did not punish the two men.
