Aaron Rodgers to sign with Steelers

Despite the national media's best attempt, the Vikings will not be signing Aaron Rodgers, as he made the announcement to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday afternoon.

This was the most likely destination for Rodgers the entire time. Their quarterback room was being led by Mason Rudolph and that wasn't going to fly for an entire season. Now that Rodgers is in the fold, the Steelers are in a much better place for the 2025 season. The offensive roster is essentially the same as last year, except Rodgers is playing quarterback instead of the duo of Russell Wilson/Justin Fields.

This is really good news for the Vikings. As long as Rodgers was available on the free agent market, there was always going to be chatter surrounding him and the Vikings. It was nauseating after a few days, let alone a few months.

Now that Rodgers has made his decision, the speculation can finally end. However, it won't be the last time we hear about Rodgers. The Vikings will end up facing him in week four over in Dublin, Ireland, making it the fourth different city the Vikings have faced Rodgers in, and two of them are in different countries.

All eyes are now turned to McCarthy, and he will be the center of attention for the next seven months.
