The Vikings are promoting Odell Beckham Jr. from their practice squad to their active roster, per The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero. The veteran wideout could make his Minnesota debut on Monday night against the Bills.

Beckham, who turned 34 this week, returned to the NFL earlier this year after not playing in 2025 – due in part to a six-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs. There was plenty of fanfare around his reunion with the Giants and his former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, but he saw just one target (which he did not catch) on 20 snaps across the first three games of the season.

The three-time Pro Bowler was released in Week 4 and signed with Minnesota’s practice squad in October. After multiple weeks in Kevin O’Connell’s offense, he now appears ready for a game day role amid a tough stretch for the Vikings’ passing game. Kyler Murray was struggling to move the ball before going down with a hamstring injury; now, Carson Wentz will take over under center for at least one game.

Minnesota will also be without Jauan Jennings on Monday due to a calf injury, opening snaps in the wide receiver rotation behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. 2025 third-rounder Tai Felton is likely first in line for more work – he started in Weeks 5 and 6 when Addison was sidelined – but Beckham could factor into the picture, too.

Jennings has been quiet in his first six games in Minnesota, catching six of his 10 targets for just 54 yards after averaging 4.4 receptions and 53.9 yards per game over his last two years in San Francisco. The 49ers’ receiver injuries led Kyle Shanahan to reach out to his former player via FaceTime regarding a potential reunion, per Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group, but both ultimately agreed that Jennings “was happy with where he was.”

The Vikings will be hoping that Jennings can return to the field and return to his previous production. In the meantime, Beckham will get his first snaps with the team as they aim to improve to 7-1 and extend their lead in the NFC North.
