Vikings will have no shortage of bulletin board material come Week 1 following bold prediction from rookie playmaker

The Minnesota Vikings have their first regular season game not just against a division rival in the Chicago Bears, but the game will be on Monday Night Football, putting an extra level of both pressure and prestige on the debut of quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

It's going to be a contentious game regardless, but Bears rookie Luther Burden III put a little more juice into it. On his YouTube channel, Burden was asked while playing a video game about his first game, which is against the Vikings, and he had quite the answer.

"Belt. Belt with spikes. The LV (Louis Vuitton) belt, the leather kind."

Bears rookie Luther Burden III sends shot at Vikings

Those are some incredibly strong words from Burden, who has yet to play a game in the National Football League. He was the 39th overall pick in the NFL Draft this past year out of Missouri and is expected to be a key piece to Ben Johnson's offense.

He's going to be an important player for the Bears, but was it a smart move to make this kind of statement right out of the gate, especially on your own YouTube channel? This is exactly the kind of thing that goes on the bulletin board of the other team and motivates them to come out firing.

In retrospect, it's not really that big of a deal to say something to a friend or teammate, but putting it where others can see it is a bold strategy. Things didn't end well for the Vikings last season, as they lost in poor fashion to the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams. Yeah, they won 14 games, but it's how you perform when the lights are brightest that matters the most.

The Vikings are going to come out extremely motivated after their season ended poorly last year, and this will give them all the extra motivation they need.
