Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn took a cart off of the field on Sunday against the Falcons after taking on hits from multiple angles. Osborn, a former fifth-rounder out of Miami, went airborn to catch a ball from newest Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs but he ended up getting slammed by multiple Falcons defenders and lost his helmet in the process.

As his teammates and opponents alike took a knee, medical personnel evaluated the wideout’s condition on the field before helping him up and onto a cart to the locker room.

The Vikings announced on X that the former Hurricanes star is out for the remainder of the Week 9 matchup. He had two catches for 17 yards before suffering a head injury that the team is evaluating as a concussion.

This season, Osborn has 32 catches for 377 yards and two touchdowns. Over the last two seasons, he’s hauled in 110 catches for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns.

In March, Osborn went viral after he and three others their lives on the line to save a man from a burning car. He shared his account of the incident on social media.

“Most of the time the saying goes ‘wrong place wrong time,’” Osborn tweeted. “But this time I believe God had me, us, at the right place at the exact right time. Last night, myself and these 3 absolute heroes helped save a man’s life by rescuing him from a vehicle up in flames after a bad crash. A situation I’d never imagine being a part of in a million years.

“I’ll leave you with this. God is real. And His LOVE is real. He will send his angels to be camped around you and provide you with his grace and mercy.”

Vikings roll with Dobbs after rookie injury

Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback Jaren Hall took a big hit near the goal line in the first quarter of his first start for the team. He was slow to get up and ended up going into the locker room with a concussion. This forced Joshua Dobbs into the game for Minnesota.

Dobbs, who started the season with the Arizona Cardinals, was traded to Minnesota in the wake of the injury to Kirk Cousins.

Hall, who will not return with the concussion, was making his first start after a successful college career at BYU. Dobbs, who played his college football at Tennessee, brings significantly more experience to the Vikings offense as a journeyman backup in the NFL.
