The Washington Commanders offered an unfortunate update on a key player before their Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Commanders have a couple of wide receivers battling injury before the regular season starts.
The Commanders hope Terry McLaurin will be able to play Sunday after he sustained a pre-season turf toe injury. But they’ll for sure be without their versatile 2021 seventh-round pick, Dax Milne. According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Commanders had to place Milne on injured reserve for a groin injury.
They also signed defensive end William Bradley-King to the 53-man roster.

Milne is a huge loss for the Commanders in the early season. He’s used as both a kick and punt returner. Milne is listed as the Commanders’ first option as a punt returner.
He’ll be out for at least the first four weeks of the season. The Commanders have 2022 first-round pick Jahan Dotson listed as their backup punt returner.
