Washington Commanders Super Bowl wins, record & history

The Washington Commanders have been to five Super Bowls in the franchise's history and have three Super Bowl titles to their name. At first, they rotated losses and wins, losing their first appearance in Super Bowl VII, then winning their next one in Super Bowl XVII, then losing in XVIII, and going on to win XXII. Fortunately, the streak was broken when they went to Super Bowl XXVI, their fifth appearance, and won. Sadly though, the Commanders have not been to the Super Bowl since the 1991 season. The Commanders made it to the Super Bowl during the 1982, 1987, and 1991 seasons with those games taking place in 1983, 1988, and 1992 respectively. Washington has been to the big game five times and are 3-2 in the Super Bowl. The Washington Commanders' first Super Bowl appearance came in the 1972 season when they fell to the Miami Dolphins, who didn't lose a single game that season. The final s
