The Washington Commanders are hitting the road against the Los Angeles Chargers this week, but are looking for different results than what they've had so far this season away from home.
The best news so far is that star quarterback Jayden Daniels is back to being a full participant at practice this week, and he is well on track to start in his homecoming back to California. We still await news on other injuries, and both teams are banged up at key positions.
The Commanders and Chargers are both coming off of tough losses, and will look to get right this week in what looks to be an even matchup.
When: Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 4:25 pm ET.
Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California
A majority of the country will be watching the Commanders vs the Chargers on FOX, including all of the East Coast. Great news for anyone who doesn't live up north.
The Commanders have lost both road games this season after slow starts, and the Chargers are perfect at home with two wins. Daniels is looking to face off against Justin Herbert, who will be without both starting tackles, Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, who left the game last week with a high ankle sprain. Chargers' pass rusher Khalil Mack is also on IR, so Daniels will have one less thing to worry about if he starts.
