Washington Football Team fined $10 million after investigation into culture

The NFL fined the Washington Football Team $10 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Thursday via Twitter.

The fine is connected to the league's investigation into allegations of harassment within the team, which has been ongoing for the better part of a year.

The news comes just a couple of days after Washington announced Tanya Snyder as co-CEO of the team. Her husband, co-CEO Dan Snyder, is part of the ongoing investigation and has "temporarily removed himself from day-to-day operations of the club, ceding that control to his wife," according to the New York Times.

The money will be donated to charity, Schefter reported.
