Washington Football Team WR Terry McLaurin misses practice Friday; questionable vs. Chiefs

The Washington Football Team may have a "Scary" situation on their hands.

Not only is Washington still dealing with the ramifications of what some have deemed as a public relations nightmare, but now, just two days away from Sunday's home game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team may be without their best offensive player.

Third-year wide receiver Terry "Scary Terry" McLaurin missed practice on Friday with a hamstring injury and is questionable for the week six contest against Kansas City.

The 26-year-old uber-athletic wideout was selected by Washington in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft and following a season where he posted 58 receptions for 919 yards and seven touchdowns, he was named to the All-Rookie Team. In 15 games a season ago, McLaurin upped his numbers to 87 receptions on 134 targets for 1,118 yards and four touchdowns, despite playing with subpar quarterback play.

Through five games in 2021, McLaurin leads Washington in receptions (29), receiving yards (400) and receiving touchdowns (four).

Washington coach Ron Rivera said McLaurin felt "tight and sore", so holding him out of Friday's practice was precautionary, per The Athletic.
