Watch: Bijan Robinson scores first NFL touchdown in epic fashion

Bijan Robinson didn't waste any time delivering on his potential.

Robinson scored his first NFL touchdown on the first play of the second quarter on an 11-yard reception. He made linebacker Frankie Luvu badly miss on a tackle attempt before slipping past a pair of converging defenders and finding his way into the end zone.

The Falcons drafted Robinson eighth overall after three seasons at Texas. The former Longhorns running back had 277 total touches for 1,894 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. He finished his career in college with 3,410 rushing yards, the fourth most in Longhorns program history.

His strong debut continues a banner weekend for Texas football. On Saturday night, the Longhorns beat Alabama 34-24 in Tuscaloosa.

Robinson's touchdown came off a Bryce Young interception one year to the day the two faced off in Austin when Young's Crimson Tide defeated the Longhorns, 20-19.

Per ProFootballNetwork, Robinson (+300) was the preseason favorite to be named Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year. His explosive first touchdown showed why he was worth a top 10 pick. Not only is he a great runner, but his talent as a receiver makes him a matchup nightmare, particularly against linebackers, as he showed against Luvu.

He'll be a major asset for second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder as he vies to become Atlanta's long-term answer at the position. Along with tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Drake London, Ridder has elite talent at the three skill positions. On his first score, Robinson showed he might be the best of the bunch.

He's going to be a major problem in the NFL but a joy to watch at home.
