Sunday was Hamlin's first time back at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati since early January when he suffered an on-field cardiac arrest during the Bills' Week 17 contest against the Bengals. Hamlin met up with Cincinnati wide receiver Tee Higgins and other Bengals players on the field prior to the game as well.

Hamlin has only played in one game this season (Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins) due to his fellow competition in the Buffalo secondary. Hamlin has been a healthy scratch in the other eight contests.
The University of Pittsburgh product appeared in all three of the Bills' preseason tilts over the summer, recording nine solo tackles.
