Cleveland and Pittsburgh combined for four turnovers, with Steelers wide receiver Gunner Olszewski's fumble late in the quarter capping the sloppy start.
Olszewski made a reception and had the ball jarred loose on a bang-bang play. Cleveland safety Grant Delpit recovered the loose ball and during his return, he fumbled the ball when tight end Pat Freiermuth stripped it. The ball was then bobbled by multiple players before it finally went out of bounds.
Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson set the tone for the evening with a tipped pass that turned into a pick-six on the first play from scrimmage.

Watson also lost a fumble two plays prior to the wacky fumble that set the sport back a couple of decades.
