Cleveland Browns quarterback Joshua Dobbs got the start in a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles and made the most of the opportunity with a highlight-reel effort on a 36-yard scramble.
Dobbs, 27, stepped back to pass on a second down play and was immediately under pressure from Eagles blitzer Andre Chachere. While he managed to shake Chachere by stepping forward, the Eagles defender snatched a piece of Dobbs' jersey and tore it. Dobbs then dodged linebacker Patrick Johnson, beat linebacker Davion Taylor to the sideline and broke loose for a big gain.

Had it not been for a shoestring tackle made by cornerback Josh Jobe, Dobbs would've strolled in for a 42-yard touchdown. Instead, he settled for a short rushing touchdown on the very next play.
Just like he drew it up. @josh_dobbs1 does it himself!

Dobbs was a fourth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and spent the beginning of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers before he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019. A year later, he was waived by the Jaguars and rejoined the Steelers. In April, Dobbs joined the Browns on a one-year deal.
