With the Vikings driving, trailing the Eagles 10-7 with 41 seconds left, quarterback Kirk Cousins connected with Jefferson on a 30-yard reception near the Philly goal line. However, as Jefferson stretched for six, Eagles safety Terrell Edmunds jarred the football loose, taking a possible touchdown off the board for Minnesota.
Initially, officials on the field ruled that Jefferson had fumbled the football out of bounds, but a review ruled the play a touchback, giving the Eagles possession at the 20-yard line.
Six plays later, Jake Elliott booted a 61-yard field goal, creating a six-point deficit for the Vikings at the half instead of a possible four-point lead.
