While Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is having a down year, he showed why he's still a future Hall of Famer on Sunday.
Late in the second quarter, with the Chiefs trailing the Broncos, 14-3, quarterback Patrick Mahomes fired a quick pass to Kelce for a two-yard touchdown.
According to the team's communications department, Kelce tied HOF TE Tony Gonzalez for the most TD catches (76) in franchise history on the play.

With that TD reception, TE Travis Kelce now has 76 career touchdown catches, tying PFHOF TE Tony Gonzalez for the most touchdown receptions in franchise history. It's his 2nd TD catch of the season.

Through his first eight games, the 35-year-old Kelce only had one TD catch and was averaging 54.4 receiving yards per game, the third-lowest mark of his career. Still, that doesn't detract from his legacy.
According to Pro Football Reference's HOF monitor, his score (124) is well above average for a TE (97). In 12 seasons with the Chiefs, he has earned four first-team All-Pro nods, tied with Shannon Sharpe, Dave Casper and Rob Gronkowski for the second most among TEs.
