Watch: Commanders Strike First with Big TD to Brian Robinson Jr.
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Commanders aren't wasting much time to make an impact in their Week 10 affair against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Commanders received the first half kickoff and took only four plays to score a touchdown.

Here's a look at the play ...

This probably isn't how Eric Bieniemy, Sam Howell or Brian Robinson Jr. envisioned this play to go, but none of them are complaining about it.

The score marks Robinson's third receiving touchdown of the season, his sixth total and fourth in his last five games.

As for Howell, it's clear that he is looking more comfortable each and every week and he's still growing into his role.

“I think he's still growing. I really do," coach Ron Rivera said. "I think Sam has done an excellent job in learning and grasping the philosophies that [Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator] Eric [Bieniemy] has, getting used to the schemes and understanding what his responsibility is. There's a lot to learn. To be honest, I went into this from my perspective, going with Eric, knowing what to expect as having been around [Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach] Andy [Reid]. I was early in my career, so I kind of figured there was going to be a growth period.”

If Howell and the Commanders can build off of this hot start, Washington may leave the west coast with a victory.

Joey Slye missed the field goal after hitting the upright, so Washington holds an early 6-0 lead in the first quarter against Seattle.
