Watch: Cowboys legend doesn't disappoint in return to NFL Draft

Once again mentioning how many Lombardi Trophies reside in Arlington, Texas, Pearson eventually revealed the Cowboys' pick, Michigan tight end Luke Schoonmaker.

While Pearson hyped up the Cowboys during his time on the stage, he did pay homage to the host Kansas City Chiefs and legends Otis Taylor and founder Lamar Hunt. That starkly contrasts Pearson's most well-known appearance at the annual draft, when he drew the ire of Philadelphia Eagles fans in 2017. 

Five years ago, Pearson was his animated self, proudly boasting his lifetime connection to the Cowboys, which did not go over well in the City of Brotherly Love. Pearson antagonized the crowd in Philly, thanking the Eagles for allowing him to have a career in the NFL as boos rained down. 

A year later, former Eagles Pro Bowl kicker David Akers returned the favor, roasting the Cowboys in Dallas during the 2018 NFL Draft, which occurred only months after Philly's first Super Bowl title. 

When Pearson hits the draft stage, it's must-see TV, and this year was no different. We can only hope the Cowboys will bring Pearson back to spit more fire next year in Detroit for the 2024 NFL Draft.
