The sports world may not have seen Derek Carr's abrupt retirement coming, but it looks like the former New Orleans Saints quarterback is already settling into a new routine.
Carr announced on Saturday that he has decided to retire after doctors advised him to undergo surgery on his throwing shoulder. There is no guarantee that Carr would return to full strength even after the procedure, so he is calling it a career instead.
Carr's wife, Heather, wasted no time documenting her husband's new routine. Mrs. Carr put together a video that shows some of the activities Derek Carr has been able to enjoy now that he is not preparing for a 12th NFL season.

Derek Carr will have plenty more time to golf now, and he joked with Heather that he is "gonna make the tour." The 34-year-old also appears to have his hands full between playing with his kids and watering the garden.
Some have already begun wondering if Derek Carr will change his mind and want to play again, but he looks pretty content.
Derek Carr had a record of 77-92 during the regular season. The former Fresno State star ranks 22nd on the NFL's all-time passing yardage list with 41,245 yards. Derek Carr threw 257 touchdown passes and 112 interceptions during his 11-year NFL career.
