Watch: Eagles HC Nick Sirianni lets Chiefs fans have it after ‘MNF’ win

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters heading into Monday’s matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs it was the team’s biggest game of the season simply because it was the next one, not because it was a Super Bowl rematch.

His postgame antics told a different story as a video made the rounds on social media showing Sirianni giving Chiefs fans the business as he entered the tunnel following Philly’s 21-17 victory on “Monday Night Football.”

Not only was Philly’s triumph over Kansas City a statement win, but it also kept the Eagles ahead of the Detroit Lions (8-2) for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. It also marked Sirianni’s first win against the Chiefs as Eagles coach. He was 0-2 against the defending Super Bowl champions heading into the game — something the Arrowhead crowd likely kept reminding him about.

Much like the Super Bowl, Monday’s game was tightly contested. However, instead of the Eagles holding a lead heading into the fourth quarter and needing to hold off a Chiefs rally, it was Kansas City who led going into the final quarter and needing to keep the Philly offense from mounting a comeback.

The Chiefs held a 17-7 lead at halftime, but quarterback Jalen Hurts reeled off two touchdowns runs in the third and fourth quarters to rally the Eagles for their ninth win of the year — and a little revenge.
