Watch: Eagles pump up fans with legendary players

Looking to get pumped up for the Eagles' opening game on Friday night? Philadelphia has you covered. Have a look at what the team found in its archives:

If that doesn’t get you ready for a game played 4,756 miles away in Sao Paulo, Brazil, nothing will. Who better than Hall of Fame safety Brian Dawkins to get things started in full “Weapon X” mode? Of course, following him up with future Hall of Fame center and current ESPN analyst Jason Kelce was also a good choice.

Some less familiar names in the video include cornerback-turned-safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who helped the team reach Super Bowl LVII in 2022 and rejoined the team after a year with the Lions, and defensive back Jalen Mills (aka The Green Goblin), who spent five years with the team.

Malcolm Jenkins, a captain for the only Eagles team to win a Super Bowl (LII), naturally made the cut but some may be surprised to see soft-spoken quarterback Jalen Hurts breaking down the team. No one should be shocked to see linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Sr., a member of the Eagles Hall of Fame, making noise but it remains to be seen if his son, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., can be as demonstrative.

He’ll get his first chance to do so when the Philadelphia Eagles face the Green Bay Packers in the NFL’s first game played in South America on Friday, Sept. 6 at 8:15 p.m. ET.
