Watch: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts suffers gruesome dislocated finger vs. Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles sustained a significant scare in Week 18 when quarterback Jalen Hurts went down with a gruesome injury to a finger on his throwing hand against the New York Giants.

Making a fourth-down throw under pressure in the first half, Hurts made contact with the helmet of Giants' Bobby Okereke on the follow-through, resulting in a nasty dislocated finger.

Hurts spent a brief time in the dreaded blue medical tent but emerged seemingly ready to go with tape on the finger in question.

Ultimately, following a conversation with head coach Nick Sirianni, the Eagles reentered the game without missing a snap.

The Eagles, struggling ahead of the regular finale, could ill afford to lose Hurts. Already without running back D'Andre Swift and wide receiver DeVonta Smith, Pro Bowl wideout A.J. Brown may have suffered a severe injury against the Giants.

Late in the first quarter, Brown went down, grabbing his right knee after an awkward roll-up following a fumble. He left the field on his own power and was later ruled as "questionable" to return by the team.
