NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt has been giving players scepter-like trophies as part of his “Angry Runs” segment since 2017, but no player handled the award more awkwardly than Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert.
Goedert earned Angry Run honors after this 24-yard catch-and-run in last week’s wild-card matchup with Green Bay. He put his hands to good use by delivering a trio of stiff-arms to Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon on his way to the end zone, but he was all thumbs in the locker room when presented with his scepter.

The seven-year veteran should really be more careful. Goedert hasn’t played a full season since his rookie year and missed seven games this season with knee and hamstring injuries.
Goedert practiced on Wednesday but sat out Thursday's practice with an illness. He was a limited participant on Friday, but fortunately for the team, he’s likely to play when the Eagles face the Rams on Sunday.
Philadelphia beat L.A. 37-20 on the road in Week 12, but the team’s passing game clearly struggled in a 22-10 wild-card victory over the Packers last week. Goedert finished the game as the team’s second-leading receiver with 47 yards.
He’s lucky that scepter didn’t catch his eye. Otherwise, the Eagles might not be six-point favorites against the Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs.
