An exceptional catch by Falcons running back Bijan Robinson proves he's not an ordinary rookie.
During training camp on Friday, Robinson juked past linebacker Troy Anderson and made an impressive grab. The play highlights why the Falcons choose the 21-year-old with the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft: he's a versatile playmaker.

"We can confidently say, generally speaking, that running back shouldn't define what Robinson does," wrote Falcons digital managing editor Scott Blair. "He'll play receiver. He'll move in motion. He'll do a ton out of the backfield as a solo back in tandem with either Tyler Allgeier or Cordarelle Patterson."
Even though selecting an RB with a top-10 pick was an odd choice after the Falcons finished third in the NFL rushing yards in 2022, Robinson will help Atlanta's ground game remain atop the league and improve its inept passing attack.
Last season, the Falcons finished second-to-last in the league in passing yards. Aside from inconsistent play from quarterback Marcus Mariota, the unit struggled because it only had one wideout (Drake London) cross the 40-reception mark.
Desmond Ridder, 23, is expected to replace Mariota. To thrive, he needs reliable targets. Robinson could become one, taking the pressure off the second-year QB.
Since Robinson could have a massive impact this season, he holds strong Offensive Rookie of the Year odds. Per FanDuel, he's favored to win the award over first-overall pick Panthers QB Bryce Young.
Robinson could become the difference-maker the Falcons need to end their five-year playoff drought and capture their first NFC South title since 2016.
