The first half of Thursday's highly anticipated prime-time matchup with the rival Detroit Lions didn't go as planned for the Green Bay Packers, and head coach Matt LaFleur sent a stern message to his club at halftime.
After being utterly dominated by the Lions, trailing 27-3 after two quarters, LaFleur vented to sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung before walking away in a huff.

"It's very humbling and embarrassing right now," LaFleur said. "We got to be able to look each other in the eye, man-to-man, and give it up for one another this whole second half. I want to see this team fight!"
In the short term, whatever LaFleur said in the locker room worked. Led by quarterback Jordan Love, the Packers offense orchestrated a 12-play, 86-yard touchdown drive to open the second half, paired with a two-point conversion to cut the Lions' lead to 27-11.

Then Love ran it in himself to cut the deficit to 27-17. The Packers attempted a two-point conversion with another Love run, but he was down before the goal line.
