After losing five of their first six games, the Jacksonville Jaguars are running out of time to turn their season around. If they keep making sensational plays like the one they made Sunday, maybe they can salvage it.
With Jacksonville leading the New England Patriots 14-10 late in the second quarter, Jaguars second-year wide receiver Parker Washington returned a punt for a 96-yard touchdown.
According to the ESPN's Michael DiRocco, it was the longest punt return TD in franchise history.

Washington only has three receptions for 21 yards through his first six games. He's returning punts because the Jaguars recently placed starting returner Devin Duvernay (hamstring) on injured reserve.
If he keeps making a strong impression, perhaps Jacksonville will find ways to get the Penn State product more involved.
Regardless, the Jaguars need more explosive plays to climb out of their early-season hole. As of Sunday, ESPN's Football Power Index gives them a 4.1 percent chance to make the playoffs, tied with the New York Giants for the fourth worst in the NFL.
