After struggling in the opening half of Thursday night's contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Jets faithful serenaded former second-overall pick Zach Wilson with boos as the team retreated to the locker room for the halftime break.

Wilson led the Jets to only three first-half points and closed out the second quarter by throwing an interception to Devin Lloyd as time expired, triggering boos from the MetLife Stadium seats.
In the first half, Wilson finished 7-of-14, averaging 5.6 yards per completion for 78 yards and a pick.
It is halftime. The Jets are losing to the Jaguars 13-3.

Jaguars: 251 yards of offense, 20:07 TOP. #Jets: 67 yards, 9:49 TOP
Rushing yards: 4 (JAX: 113)
First downs: 3 (JAX: 13)
Zach Wilson: 7/14, 78 yards, 1 INT
An embarrassing team-wide performance on a national stage.
Meanwhile, Wilson's counterpart Trevor Lawrence went 11-of-16, averaging 9.2 yards per reception for 147 yards while adding 41 rushing yards and a touchdown on five carries. Lawrence was selected No. 1 overall in 2021 by Jacksonville, one spot ahead of the Jets, who chose Wilson.
After a mediocre, at best, rookie campaign, Wilson has yet to show a ton of improvement during his sophomore season.
Over his first seven starts this season, Wilson posted a miserable 55.6 completion percentage, prompting the Jets to bench the quarterback following a 10-3 Week 10 loss to the New England Patriots. However, Wilson was forced back into action last week against the Detroit Lions, starting in place of Mike White, who had his momentum behind center halted by a rib injury.
