Watch: Jordan Addison makes crazy catch, scores touchdown
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Jordan Addison's first touchdown reception since Week 8 was a wild one.

With the Vikings leading 7-3 in the second half of Saturday's game against the Bengals, Nick Mullens was under pressure and made perhaps an ill-advised decision to try to find Addison on a crossing route before going to the ground. Fortunately for the Vikings' quarterback, his rookie receiver helped him out by reaching down near the ground and snagging the ball. Once he did that, there was nothing but green turf in front of him and he jetted to the end zone for a 37-yard score.

This was Addison's eighth touchdown catch of his rookie season, but his first since Kirk Cousins got hurt against the Packers. He's over 100 yards on the day against the Bengals.

Addison's eight TD receptions has him tied for fourth in the NFL at this moment. He's tops among rookies, unsurprisingly. Four of those touchdowns have come from at least 35 yards out — only Tyreek Hill (8) has more TD receptions of at least 35 yards.

This catch was pretty ridiculous.

Addison has had an outstanding season for the Vikings. The fourth wide receiver taken in April's draft, he leads all the first-round receivers in yardage and is second among rookies (behind the Rams' Puka Nacua). Addison is over 800 yards on the season and has a chance to push towards 1,000 over the season's final three games.
