Watch: Justin Fields throws pick-six to seal loss
Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

Justin Fields had a rough day on Sunday and his worst play came when the Chicago Bears had the ball with a chance to put together a game-winning drive.

The Bears were trailing 20-17 late in their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chicago forced a punt with under three minutes remaining and got the ball back at their own seven-yard line. After a defensive offside and an offensive pass interference, the Bears tried to set up a screen to running back Khalil Herbert. Fields instead threw the ball to Bucs pass-rusher Shaq Barrett, who plowed his way into the end zone.

Barrett’s pick-six put the Buccaneers up two scores and essentially sealed the game. But just to make sure, Fields also threw an interception on the ensuing drive.

Fields was the subject of a lot of offseason hype, but his season is off to a rough start. The former Ohio State star has thrown three interceptions in two games. Fields also fumbled twice on Sunday, though he did not lose either of them.

Fields finished 16-of-29 for 211 yards, one touchdown and the two picks. He added four rushes for three yards and a touchdown on the ground.
