Detroit Lions second-year receiver Jameson Williams has just two touchdown catches in his NFL career, but both have been 40-plus yard bombs.
With less than four minutes left in the third quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Williams outran the Bucs secondary to the end zone where quarterback Jared Goff found him in the right corner for a 45-yard touchdown.

Williams’ second touchdown catch was oddly reminiscent of his first, which came in a 34-23 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14 last year.
He sped past the entire Vikings defense and caught a 41-yard pass in the end zone for his first NFL reception and touchdown.
Sunday’s game was just the second of the season for Williams after serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s gambling policy. He had just two receptions for two yards in last week’s win over the Carolina Panthers.
The 22-year-old wideout is tied with rookie tight end Sam LaPorta for the longest reception on the Lions this season.
