Miami quarterback Cam Ward is headed to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony, looking to become the 3rd Hurricanes QB to bring home the award. Ward is the 8th player from the U to earn a trip to NYC and the first since Ken Dorsey and Willis McGahee represented the Hurricanes in 2002. The West Columbia, Texas native led the country in TD passes with 36 and ranked 2nd in the nation in passing yards with 4,123 for the year. Ward led the Miami offense to No. 1 rankings in the FBS in scoring (44.2 ppg), total offense (538.3 ypg), yards per play (7.6), first downs (327), and 3rd down conversion rate (56.5%).
