Watch: Micah Parsons just beat Tyreek Hill in a foot race
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

We knew that likely NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Micah Parsons was an absolute freak of nature. We learned this during the linebacker’s days at Penn State.

Coming off one of the best rookie seasons for a defender in modern league history, Parsons proved this big time in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Parsons took part in the NFL’s version of the fastest man competition ahead of the Pro Bowl in Sin City, going up against the likes of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb and Parson’s teammate with the Cowboys, cornerback Trevon Diggs, took part in the foot race.

In absolutely shocking fashion, Micah Parsons pulled off the upset win.

A linebacker? We’re talking about a linebacker here. Micah Parsons blew the Cheetah away at the end, culminating in him being crowned the league’s unofficial fastest man.

Following the “historic” victory, Parsons shouted out his Madden rating.

“I do want a Madden 95-speed though,”Micah Parsons told NFL Network.

Micah Parsons is an absolute freak

To put this into perspective, Hill put up a 4.29 40-yard dash during his West Alabama Pro Day leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft. Parsons? He ran a 4.39 at the Penn State Pro Day.

All of this comes on the heels of Parsons dominating during his rookie season with the Cowboys. Still only 22, he recorded 84 tackles, 30 quarterback hits, 20 tackles for loss, 13 sacks and three forced fumbles. That seems pretty darn decent.
