Packers' Love hits Watson for 63-yard TD on first throw
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love. Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers needed a spark in the fourth quarter. Trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 37-23, Jordan Love delivered.

Love replaced starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers after he went down with an injury . Love, on his first drive of the game, hit rookie wide receiver Christian Watson for a 63-yard touchdown to close the gap to 37-30.

Here’s a video of the play by a tweet from Andy Herman. He called Love “the future”.

The future needs a little luck to go his way. The Packers need to hold the explosive Eagles offense to give Love a chance to tie the game.

Whatever the outcome, Packers fans must be excited to see the connection between Love and the rookie Watson.

It could be a lethal combination for the Packers when Rodgers is no longer the No. 1 quarterback on the Packers’ depth chart. With the Packers’ current roster, that could be sooner than later.
