Watch: Packers OL draws penalty on Maxx Crosby with award-worthy 'Monday Night Football' flop

Flopping happens all the time in the NFL, especially after the whistle.

It may not be flopping like what we see in the NBA, but a well-timed flop can be very advantageous if the performance catches the eye of an NFL ref.

Las Vegas Raiders pass-rusher Maxx Crosby found that out the hard way on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers.

Second-year Green Bay offensive lineman Zach Tom received a shove in the back from Crosby right at the whistle. Sure, it may have been a bit after the play, and sure, Crosby pushed Tom in the back of his shoulder pads, but it doesn't take a world-renowned film critic to see that the 300-plus pound offensive lineman was acting a little bit.

Like it or not, performances like that are part of the game. As parents often tell their children, it's often not the instigator who gets in trouble, but the person who is caught "fighting back."

The Packers ended up scoring a field goal on this drive, so if you were scoring Tom's acting, it is probably worth three points.

And for any Packers fans who may have their heads in the sand on this one, just remember that big dudes like Tom don't normally fly through the sky like this because of a push.

Tom is all of 6-foot-4, 304 pounds. Crosby is 6-foot-5, but he checks in at only 255 pounds.
