After a dismal start to their Week 10 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts at Frankfurt Stadium, as part of the NFL International Games Series, the New England Patriots were provided another opportunity to put points on the board to begin the third quarter.  Unfortunately, in a refrain which has become all too familiar, the Pats were unable to capitalize.

The drive was made possible by defensive back Myles Bryant, who intercepted a pass from Colts' cornerback Gardner Minshew intended for receiver Michael Pitman. Bryant returned the pick for six yards, giving the Pats the ball at midfield.

However, quarterback Mac Jones and the Patriots were unable to take advantage of the Colts' miscue. The Pats traveled only 33 yards on eight plays, which resulted in a missed 35-yard field goal by rookie kicker Chad Ryland. Though Ryland would connect on a 24-yard field goal on the next offensive series, the Pats still trail 7-6 with time winding down in the fourth-quarter.

The Pats entered this matchup hoping to earn their third victory of the season, following their 20-17 loss to the Washington Commanders last week. Conversely, the Colts are hoping to even their record at .500, after a 27-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 9. This Week 10 contest will mark the third meeting between the two former AFC rivals in as many seasons— the last of which resulting in a 27-17 defeat for the Patriots at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

New England made the trip to Germany without cornerback J.C. Jackson (personal,) DeVante Parker (concussion) and Trent Brown (personal/ankle injury) who were ruled out on Thursday. Rookie receiver Kayshon Boutte, for whom several Pats fan have been clamoring to see, is active for the first time since Week 1. However, the Pats have deactivated linebacker and team captain Ja’Whaun Bentley for this game, leaving a significant void in the middle of their defense.
