Watch: Pro Bowl CB Darius Slay compares Eagles' wide receivers to Batman

You'd be hard-pressed to find a more prominent supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles' starting wide receiver corps than Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay.

Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Slay took an interesting approach when describing what stands out most about each of them. Though instead of comparing A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Quez Watkins to other players at their position, Slay took an out-side-of-the-box approach, using Batman as the measuring stick.

"I know ya'll seen him with the dark visor, swole," Slay said about Brown, who the Eagles acquired this offseason. "He just looks like a swole Batman. Y'all can not tell me he don't look like a swole Batman."

"DeVonta is a skinny Batman. Quez is a fast Batman. So we got three Batmans on the team - one swole, one skinny, one fast."

"Swole Batman" is coming off a tremendous debut with Philly in a Week 1 win over Slay's former team, the Detroit Lions. Brown finished with ten catches off 13 targets for 155 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, the Eagles' first-round pick last summer, Smith, or "Skinny Batman," went catch-less in the season opener after finishing with 64 receptions for 916 yards and five touchdowns his rookie season.

Finally, "Fast Batman," Quez Watkins, didn't receive a target against the Lions but returned three kickoffs for 38 yards. Watkins had 43 catches for 647 yards and a touchdown last season

When asked who the Robin of the group was, Slay responded defiantly.

"No, Robins. We ain't got no backups. No Robins. No sidekicks," Slay said. "We got nothing but Batmans. You know what I'm saying? Them boys fly. They fly."
