Puka Nacua will enter the 2025 season as the clear-cut No. 1 option in the Los Angeles Rams’ offense as he’s shown he’s ready to handle even more offensive responsibility.

The Rams felt comfortable enough with Nacua as their top target to release Cooper Kupp earlier in the offseason. Although Los Angeles signed Davante Adams in free agency, Nacua’s got the system experience, talent and youth to handle all the targets thrown his way.

Nacua has been a godsend for the Rams as he stepped in immediately as a rookie and made an impact. Originally a fifth-round pick, Nacua has blown all expectations out of the water and there’s no telling what his ceiling looks like as he continues to grow and develop as a player.

However, he won’t just have the on-field stuff to worry about soon as he and his girlfriend Hallie Aiono announced they’re having a baby boy, via Rams Tapes:

In the video, Nacua lifts up a cake topper which seemingly reveals the couple will be having a boy. He immediately laughs and tells Aiono that he knew it would be a boy because of his genes and the two share a heartwarming moment together.

This is wonderful news for Nacua and his loved ones as he’s been open about his desire to start a family and have several kids and now is in line to become a father for the first time. Nacua is known for his infectious energy and easygoing personality, so it’ll be interesting to see how having a child changes him both personally and professionally.

Outside of his personal life, the 2025 season will be an excellent opportunity for Nacua to take the next step in his stardom and lead the Rams back to the Super Bowl. A tough and physical runner who has a knack for getting open, Nacua is a perfect fit in head coach Sean McVay’s offense and it’ll be fun to see how much farther he can take his game.

Puka Nacua focused on improving short-area quickness this offseason

Puka Nacua wasn’t lauded as a draft prospect due to his injury history and his lack of top-end speed, but he’s got all the tools to be successful in the NFL. Nacua has been training with Cooper Kupp this offseason and is focused on improving his short-area quickness.
