Watch: Raiders stars combine for historic TD on trick play vs. Chargers

Failing to find the end zone with the Las Vegas Raiders leading the Los Angeles Chargers 42-0 at halftime on "Thursday Night Football," wideout Davante Adams made up for it by scoring a historic touchdown to open the third quarter.

After successfully tricking the Chargers on a wide-receiver pass from Jakobi Meyers to Adams for a modest gain earlier in the contest, the Raiders returned to the well again. Meyers found Adams for a three-yard score this time, capping off a nine-play, 75-yard scoring drive.

Adams' TD grab was No. 92 of his incredible career, tying him with former All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski for 12th in the NFL all-time. Meyers also made history, throwing the third TD pass of his career while becoming the first non-QB to throw a pass with their team ahead 40 or more points, per ESPN's Paul Gutierrez

Many might frown upon the Raiders' tactics on Thursday night, especially when the game's result was well in hand. However, while it's been a tough season for the Chargers, it hasn't been the easiest year for the Raiders either, and they justifiably relished the blowout.
