Late in the fourth quarter against the New Orleans Saints Sunday, Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young threw a dime to wide receiver Xavier Legette.
However, Legette forgot to secure the ball, and Saints cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles quickly snatched it from the rookie's hands. The interception could go down as one of the best plays in 2024.

Through his first three seasons with the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers, Jean-Charles mainly served as a role player and had no interceptions.
The former fifth-round pick was recently promoted to the 53-man roster after Saints starting corner Paulson Adebo underwent season-ending leg surgery. If Jean-Charles keeps making more plays like the one he did Sunday, that should make the Saints coaching staff take notice.
The play also shows why the Panthers offense has faltered throughout the season. Through its first eight games, Carolina is tied for 29th in the league points scored (15.5) and is 30th in passing yards (177.9).
