Watch: Steelers QB Justin Fields kick-starts offense with TD vs. Cowboys

The Pittsburgh Steelers turned on the jets in the second half of their "Sunday Night Football" matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

At the beginning of the third quarter on a 2nd-and-11 at Dallas' 18-yard line, Steelers quarterback Justin Fields dropped back and connected with third-year tight end Connor Heyward on a 16-yard touchdown, giving Pittsburgh a 10-6 lead.

The TD capped off a six-play, 72-yard drive that could kick-start the Steelers offense. In the first half, three of their four drives ended in punts.

It could also continue to help Fields build his confidence. Through his first four games, the former first-round pick has guided the Steelers to a 3-1 record, completing 70.6% of his passes for 830 yards, three TDs and one interception, posting an average 50.9 QBR.

Fields is still listed as QB2 on the team's official depth chart behind Russell Wilson. Wilson has dealt with a lingering calf injury since the start of the season and hasn't played. If Fields lifts the Steelers to their fourth win, perhaps Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin would consider giving him the starting gig full-time.
