Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris put himself in the running for stiff-arm of the year after delivering a vicious shot to defensive back Richie Grant in Sunday's 19-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

On one of Harris' 17 carries Sunday, he attempted to juke past Grant, who had stepped up to fill the hole. However, as Grant began to wrap his arms around Harris, he was quickly dispatched to the ground with authority by the Steelers' second-year back.
Harris ran angry on Sunday, less than a week after leaving Week 12's matchup against the Indianapolis Colts with an abdominal injury. The 24-year-old averaged five yards a carry against the Falcons, finishing with 86 yards, his third-highest total of the season.
After getting off to a slow start in 2022, Harris may be coming around. In Harris' first six games, he averaged a measly 3.1 yards per carry and had managed only one touchdown on the ground. Over the last five games, Harris has averaged 4.5 yards per attempt and tallied 405 rushing yards,
nearly doubling his total through Week 6 (264). He's also found the endzone more often, recording touchdowns in two of his last three games.
Harris' emergence is a good sign for the Steelers, who, with Sunday's win, improved to 5-7. Pittsburgh will need Harris to be on his A-game next week when the Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens, who came into Week 13 boasting the second-best rush defense in the NFL.
