Watershed Moment for Tua Tonight in Buffalo

Year six for Tua, and heading into week three, the weight of the world is on his shoulders.

The Dolphins’ season is quickly spiraling out of control, and QB1 hasn’t been good in the first two games of the season.

His head coach may be fired soon.

The general manager who drafted him 5th overall will be fired soon.

And once those two things happen, you don’t need to be Scooby Doo to solve this mystery.

Tua’s Time in Miami will soon be over.

He won’t have a future in Miami once the new people are in place.

But it is only week 3, and there is still time to salvage this season and to salvage his career in Miami.

WIN!

WIN!

That’s right, find a way tonight in Buffalo when nobody thinks this team has a chance to pull out an upset win.

It is a watershed moment for Tua Tagovailoa tonight in Orchard Park, NY.

He may be playing for his Miami future.

In 2022, the Dolphins raced out to an 8-3 start, and then they collapsed.

In 2023, the Dolphins raced out to a 9-3 start, and then they collapsed.

In 2024, the Dolphins failed to meet expectations and finished under. 500.

During those years, Tua was often injured and missed a lot of games.

Now, on September 18th, 2025, Miami is 0-2, and Tua isn’t living up to that $212 million contract with $167 fully guaranteed.

Tua needs to flip the script and change the narrative.

It can’t be about if/when McDaniel and Grier are fired and if Tua is playing his final season in Miami.

It needs to be about, hey, Miami just beat Buffalo and is 1-2, can they make a run?

Are the odds of that happening good? Or likely? NO!

Buf for Tua, this is what he is facing tonight.

Since entering the NFL, Tua has had a lot of doubters and critics, and as we sit today, six years into his career, they are being proven right.

Tua hasn’t been the guy.

Tank for Tua is laughable in hindsight.

Tua isn’t HIM.

But he isn’t bad either; he is just ordinary.

An ordinary quarterback who has been grossly overpaid.

Money aside, Tua needs to step up and play his best football tonight for the sake of his team, his coaches, his organization, and for himself.

CAN’T SURVIVE TWO HEAD COACH FIRINGS

Brian Flores was fired while Tua was his quarterback.

Now, if Mike McDaniel is let go with Tua as the quarterback, spoiler alert, Tua isn’t going to get a 3rd head coach in Miami.

One, that isn’t how the NFL works.

Two, no quality candidate will want the job if they are forced to have this guy as their quarterback.

Which is why Tua must turn things around quickly if he wants to keep playing for Mike McDaniel.

Tonight, if he were to have a 24/29 performance for 285 yards and two touchdowns, it would go a long way to bringing the temperature down right now in South Florida.

Everything around this team is toxic.

A Miami win, a strong performance from Tua, and the firings being pushed off for a month or two more, would be very welcomed by the fans, the general manager, and the head coach.

Especially the general manager and head coach, who have tied their careers to him, and their fate is in his hands.

Tonight is a watershed moment for Tua; it will be fascinating to see how he responds.
