'WE DRAFTED XAVIER WORTHY!' — Chiefs receiver reacts to Taylor Swift's viral New Heights comments

It was actually Taylor Swift who was responsible for telling Travis Kelce that the Kansas City Chiefs selected Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

During the singer's appearance on the New Heights podcast, the two recalled this exactly moment where Swift detailed how excited she was when she saw the Chiefs selected the speedy wide receiver.

"I became like a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, 'We drafted Xavier Worthy!'" Swift detailed. "I was screeching. I couldn't believe it. I was freaking out."

"I forget where I was, but you were the first person to tell me that we drafted the fastest man in the draft," Travis added.

So, what did Worthy think about this?

"That's crazy," Worthy said in a video posted by the team. "I ain't gonna lie, she's the biggest pop star in this generation so it's crazy to have somebody running around the house screaming, 'We drafted you!'"

Worthy certainly lived up to the hype, finishing his rookie season with 59 receptions for 638 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns, along with 20 carries for 104 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. In the postseason, he added 19 receptions for 287 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns along with three carries for eight rushing yards.

So, what does he have in store for year 2? We'll just have to wait and see.
